Marilyn Lane is the daughter of Mel and Merry Strand. She is married to John Lane, and they have three boys, Steven, Timmy, and David. The Lanes live in Newport News, VA (see map below).

Marilyn teaches 5th grade at Summit Christian Academy. John is a contract manager for Milliken Carpet, selling to government and school facilities throughout Virginia. The boys attend Summit Christian Academy.
